Next Steps

Life at New Waters Church

It is our goal and mission to help you discover a full and complete relationship with God.  We believe that is the key to personal happiness. God loves us and wants to know each of us both individually and corporately.  It is that distinction which actually makes us a church. We believe this strongly enough to make it our mission/vision statement.  Our goal is to become a people who are Marked by the Love of Jesus, Moved by the Holy Spirit, and Motivated to Serve Others. That being said, we encourage every person at New Waters Church to follow the following path as disciples of Jesus.  We see it as a simple, practical, three step process for discovering happiness and contentment. It includes the three simple steps of being:

Marked by Love

Moved by His Spirit

Motivated to Serve

Step

Marked by Love

The best way we know of to be Marked by God’s Love is to have a real encounter with God.  We do that by encountering Him in worship. There are many ways to worship, but the most obvious way is participating in our weekly worship service.  We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30 am with the sole purpose of encountering God. Through these encounters we grow closer to God and each other. Thus being marked by His Love.  We also invite people who might be interested in discovering the fullness of this relationship which Jesus offers freely to each of us. All are welcome, that includes you!

Step

Moved by His Spirit

Being “moved by God” isn’t just some religious term for us.  It is practical living. It is about us being called to live life together.  No matter what our personality type, whether we are introverted or extroverted, we believe we need each other. We need a God who not only meets us individually, but one who meets us when we’re together. We need to gather around Food, fun, and Fellowship as often as possible. We know of no better way to do this than through one of our Life Groups..  Go to our Life Group Page for more info.

Step

Motivated to Serve

The last part of our three part formula for happiness is growing in the joy of serving.  Serving God, serving each other, and serving our community. After all, Jesus made it pretty clear when He taught, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”  We know there are a lot of people out there who need more than a sermon or a handshake. We have learned that true disciples of Jesus live what they believe; “practice what we preach” as they say. We know of no better way to spiritual growth than by serving others. So, no matter what talents you have or don’t think you have; Jesus can use each of us.  We have many ways for you to discover yours here at New Waters Church.
